July 28

Hey guys it's Amber here, it is my turn to write in the wedding diary...

Well it is getting pretty close now! But amazingly we aren't stressing out that much! Today things went perfect, we got the shoes and jewellery without any fustration. Things went incredibly smoothly!  I am really looking forward to the wedding now... I LOVE my dress!!!!! It is fantastic!!! It sits great! I cannot wait till the day. The shoes are comfortable so I will be able to wear them easily. And the jewellery matches my dress! Tyler got his shoes today as well... they are very nice shoes. Dad did as well... they are a great style. The main thing we need to think about now is the way we are going to wear our hair. I want to have loose curls and maybe half up half down, but I am not quite sure yet. I do not want to have all of my hair up, as today when I tried my dress on, I had my hair up and it did not suit at all. It is really close now... 4 weeks exactly from today!!! It has come fast! Not long now.......

Hi everyone,

Well, its been a busy few weeks. Warren has been away in South Africa, so we have been flat out at work. Sounds like he has had an awesome trip, and we are looking forward to hearing all about it. It's been mostly little details we have been working on with the wedding. I spent about an hour with the florist organising the flowers last week and I'm really looking forward to seeing how they turn out. We have also been choosing decorations for the venue...we have a theme, but I'm not going to tell you what it is. Things are going to hot up as we get into the last four weeks before the wedding. We will be going down to the venue with the photographer soon to discuss the photo's, meeting with the celebrant to finalise the ceremony, having final dress fittings...phew, I wonder if Neil would let me have a month off work to sort it all??

Happy Birthday Des

Happy Birthday to my favourite Father-in-law to be!

I have been touched by how welcoming Neil's Mum and Dad have been of me and I love them to bits. Des is double Neil's age today and we wish him all the best for a wonderful day full of all the naughty things he's not supposed to be doing or eating!  :-)

All our love, Lisa & Neil  xxx

Hello again

Posted on Wednesday 20 June, 2007

We visited Hotel du Vin for a couple of hours with our wedding celebrant Helena yesterday, and spent the morning talking about our ceremony, working through seating ideas, talking about room dressings and generally getting a fair bit of detail sorted.

We also listened to a few of the music choices we have been thinking of using, and I have to admit I got a bit choked up! I'm not usually a girl who cries at the drop of a hat, but I have a sneaky feeling I'm gonna need the waterproof mascara when we get married. Must be happy...

The staff at the hotel are wonderful and have taken good care of us each time we have visited. Plus the coffee is divine! The vines are dropping their leaves at the moment and everything looks very wintery. They tell me that the new growth will just be starting to come through when we are there in August.

Stay warm.

L.

Greetings

Hi everyone,

Time is ticking on and all of a sudden August 25th is not that far away anymore!

I think we are pretty much on track in terms of organising things. I figure if we haven't thought about it already, it can't be that important and should be all right on the night!

Its been lovely to start getting RSVP's back in, and especially good to hear how many of you are going to stay the night. Awesome.

The kids were really excited to have dress and suit fittings a few weeks ago and we are looking forward to seeing them all dressed up with hair and make-up done (don't panic Tyler, no makeup for you). That alone is worth getting a professional photographer in for!

Our honeymoon plans have changed a couple of times now due to work commitments, but we are now looking at something that involves sun, sand and very little else...the picture below is Aitutaki Lagoon and we aim to be swimming in that beautiful blue water as soon as possible after the wedding.

Thanks for all your lovely comments in the Guestbook section, it's been lot's of fun reading through them.

If anyone has questions about accommodation or anything at all, don't hesitate to give us a call.
